Poly, now part of HP, stands for conference audio that stays intelligible even in difficult rooms. The video bars combine camera, microphone array and speakers in one device, and the conference phones have stood on meeting tables for decades. We use Poly when audio quality tips the balance: in rooms with glass walls, in public administrations with long tables, or wherever conversations are minuted and summarised. The devices run as a Teams Room, a Zoom Room or in BYOD mode with ClickShare. Planning, mounting, setup and support come from us in Solothurn.
Poly video bars for meeting rooms
A Poly video bar below the display covers a medium-sized meeting room: the camera frames people automatically, the microphone array filters out keyboard noise and air conditioning, and the speakers fill the room without echo. As a Teams Room or Zoom Room the bar runs on its own with a touch controller; in BYOD mode it connects to the presenter's laptop.
We mount the bar at the right height, set up framing, microphone zones and the platform and test the room with you – with a real call, not a checklist.
Conference phones and audio for public administrations
Not every meeting needs video. For committees, boards and public administrations that do a lot of their consulting by phone, we use Poly conference phones and speakerphones: on the table, with expansion microphones for long tables, connected to Teams or the existing phone system.
We clarify the connection with your IT, configure the devices and make sure every person at the table is heard equally well. For meeting rooms in the canton of Solothurn, in Bern and in Aargau we take on ongoing support too.
Combined with displays, ClickShare and room control
Poly devices fit into the rooms we build: with interactive displays for whiteboarding, with Barco ClickShare for guests without an account, with room panels for occupancy and with a control system that also handles lighting and shading.
We plan the room as a whole and choose Poly where it is the best solution – not because it is in the catalogue. After installation you manage the devices centrally via Poly Lens; we set that up and keep firmware and settings up to date on request, remotely from Solothurn.

Does a Poly video bar you install also work without Teams or Zoom?
Yes. In BYOD mode the bar connects to the laptop via USB and works with any conferencing software. With Barco ClickShare that even works wirelessly. We set up the room the way you need it.
Does Poly help with poor room acoustics, or do you recommend something else?
Partly. The microphone arrays suppress reverberation and background noise considerably. In very echoey rooms with lots of glass we recommend acoustic treatment as well – we tell you honestly what the technology alone can do and what the room needs.
Do you support the Poly devices after installation?
Yes. Via Poly Lens we see the status and firmware of all devices and can intervene from Solothurn. With a service contract we keep your rooms up to date and respond within agreed times, remotely or on site.
