Hotel TV

The first impression in the room – and the last one before check-out.

Hotel TV – Guest rooms · lobby · seminars
In short

IMAGEMEDIA plans, installs and operates hotel TV systems: hospitality televisions with welcome screen, hotel information, channels and streaming, centrally managed from one interface. Add signage in the lobby and seminar rooms and the network behind it. For properties from ten to several hundred rooms across German-speaking Switzerland.

The television in the room is the only screen every guest is guaranteed to switch on. That is exactly why it pays not to leave it to chance. A hotel TV greets guests by name, shows breakfast times, spa opening hours and the menu, leads to the room bill and lets guests use their own streaming account – without their login details staying on the device after departure.

Technically this differs a great deal from a television from the electronics store. Hospitality devices can be configured centrally, secured against theft, limited in volume and set to a defined channel on power-up. You maintain the channel list once and distribute it to all rooms instead of touching 120 devices individually. We work with the systems of the major manufacturers – Samsung with LYNK, LG with Pro:Centric and Philips with MediaSuite – and choose what suits the property, the network and the budget.

The system is more than the screen: the signal feed via cable network or IP, the room network, the wall mount, clean cabling and the operation afterwards. We take care of planning with your construction management, install floor by floor without disrupting operations and remain reachable after the opening. On request we connect the system to your property management system so the greeting knows the right name and the device resets automatically at check-out.

Because a property has more surfaces than rooms, we plan the lobby, reception, seminar rooms and restaurant at the same time: daily programme at reception, menu board in the restaurant, room signage outside the seminar rooms. All from the same interface, maintained by your team.

Service

What you get.

01

Welcome screen

Process

How we work.

  1. Step 1

    Viewing the property

We look at rooms, distribution, network and the existing signal feed and clarify what can stay.

  2. Step 2

    Concept and quote

Device choice, system choice, menu structure and operation in one proposal with a fixed price – including a sample room.

  3. Step 3

    Sample room

One room is fully set up. Only when your team agrees do we roll out to the rest.

  4. Step 4

    Rollout and operation

Floor-by-floor installation during ongoing operation, training for your team, then remote maintenance and a contact person.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Can guests use their own Netflix or Disney+?

Yes. Current hospitality systems allow sign-in with the guest's own account directly on the device, as well as casting from the phone via Google Cast or AirPlay. At check-out the login details are deleted automatically – that is the decisive difference from an ordinary television.

Do we need new televisions for this?

Usually yes, because retail devices have no central management and no hotel mode. But we always check what is already there and calculate both options – including operating costs over five years.

How many rooms make it worthwhile?

From around twenty rooms central management clearly pays off, because otherwise every change means manual work on every device. Smaller properties benefit from the welcome screen too – the system is simply leaner there.

Does the installation disrupt operations?

We work floor by floor or wing by wing and coordinate the rooms with your reception. A room is usually finished in half a day, including mount, cabling and setup.

Can it be connected to our booking system?

If your property management system offers an interface, yes: then the screen knows the guest's name, language and departure date. We clarify feasibility with your system provider before the quote.

Who maintains the content later?

Your team. The interface is built so that opening hours, menu and offers can be changed without technical knowledge. For everything else, we are reachable.
