Zaptec builds charging stations suited to a single house as much as an underground car park with twenty spaces: the wallboxes share the available power dynamically so that the main fuse does not trip when everyone charges in the evening. We use Zaptec when charging belongs to the home's energy system – surplus from the roof into the car, charging authorisation by app or card, billing per user in the apartment building. A licensed electrician handles fitting and connection; we plan, configure and connect the station to inverter, smart home and your phone.
Planning for house and underground car park
A charging station is fitted quickly; the question is what happens behind it. We clarify with you and your electrician how much power the service connection provides, whether load management is needed and where the station goes so that the cable reaches the car. In apartment buildings we plan for the owners' association: shared supply line, dynamic distribution across all Zaptec stations, authorisation and billing per parking space.
You get a concept that starts with one car and grows as neighbours join – without the connection having to be rebuilt.
Charging with solar power
The biggest benefit of your own charging station comes with a photovoltaic system: the car charges when the roof is producing, not at seven in the evening when everyone else is charging too. We connect Zaptec to your inverter – Fronius, SolarEdge or others – or to the energy manager in the smart home and set from which surplus charging starts, what minimum power applies and when the car has to be full despite clouds. In the app you see how much solar power ended up in the car – in kilowatt hours and, if you like, in francs.
Zaptec in the smart home and everyday life
If Loxone, KNX or Home Assistant runs at your home, we integrate the Zaptec station: charging status appears on the wall panel, authorisation follows presence, heat pump and car share the surplus by priority. We set up access by app, RFID card or automatically, for the family and for guests in the holiday home. After commissioning we remain reachable: firmware, new users, a second car, changes to the tariff. We support charging solutions in Solothurn, Bern, Aargau and the Mittelland region – for private homes and owners' associations.

Do you install the Zaptec wallbox yourselves?
The electrical connection is made by a licensed electrician – yours or one from our network. We plan the solution, coordinate it with the electrician, configure the station after fitting and connect it to photovoltaics, smart home and app.
Does Zaptec work in an apartment building with several parties?
Yes, that is what the system is built for. Several stations share one supply line, power is distributed dynamically, and each party charges with its own authorisation and its own billing. We draw up the concept for the owners' association and accompany the implementation.
Can I charge with solar power only using Zaptec?
Yes, with a connection to the inverter or an energy manager the car charges from surplus. We set thresholds and minimum power so that the car is still full in the morning when you need it – sun preferred, grid as a reserve.
