Nuki turns your existing front door into one that opens by phone, code, fingerprint or by itself when you come home. The lock sits inside on the cylinder; outside the door stays as it is – which is why Nuki works in rented flats too. We use Nuki for families with children who have no keys, for holiday homes with changing guests, for cleaners and tradespeople with access only at certain times. We check your cylinder, fit the lock, set up the app and connect it to the rest of your technology.
Does it fit my door?
The first question with Nuki is the cylinder. Swiss round cylinders differ from the European profile cylinder, and depending on the door a different adapter or a cylinder swap is needed. We look at your door – cylinder type, inside protrusion, door leaf, multi-point locking – and tell you whether Nuki fits directly, what needs adapting and whether a locksmith is required.
Then we fit lock, door sensor and, if you wish, the keypad outside, calibrate the turning motion and make sure the door really locks rather than just latching.
Access for everyone who needs it
A Nuki lock is above all a question of permissions: who may come in and when. We set up access for the family, time-limited codes for cleaner, tradespeople or the neighbour who waters the plants, and guest codes for the holiday home that expire after the stay. The function that opens the door as you approach with your phone we set up with you and test until it responds reliably. A log shows who used the door and when – useful when children come home on their own.
With alarm system and smart home
Nuki gets stronger when it works with other things. We connect the lock to the Ajax alarm system so that locking arms and unlocking disarms, to the Gira door intercom so that you can let guests in from your phone, and to Loxone, KNX or Apple Home so that the lights come on when you get home and everything switches off when you lock up. We set up remote access with security and battery life in mind. We support doors in Solothurn, Bern, Aargau and the Mittelland region – including when a battery change or a new user comes up a year later.

Questions about Nuki.
Does Nuki fit a Swiss round cylinder?
Often, yes, with the right adapter; sometimes a different cylinder is needed. We check your door before ordering – cylinder type, protrusion and door leaf – and tell you what is required. That way there are no surprises at fitting.
Do you also fit Nuki in a rented flat?
Yes. The lock is placed on the cylinder inside, without drilling and without altering the outside of the door. When you move out you take it off and the door is as before. Only a possible cylinder swap would need to be agreed with the property manager.
What if the battery is flat or my phone is gone?
With a cylinder that can be operated from both sides, the key still works from outside; we check that at fitting. The app warns early about a low battery, and the keypad opens by code without a phone. We set up an emergency route for you that you know before you need it.
