Ajax Systems builds wireless alarm systems that can be fitted in existing flats and houses without cables: hub, detectors, sirens and keypads communicate encrypted, and the batteries last several years. We use Ajax when you want to know what is going on at home – break-in, smoke, water in the basement, open window – and want to find out on your phone wherever you are. We handle planning, fitting, setup and integration with cameras, door lock and smart home; whether you want a connection to a monitoring service, we discuss with you.
Planning by floor plan
An alarm system only protects if the detectors are in the right places. We walk through the flat with you, look at entrances, ground-floor windows, basement and garage and define where motion detectors, opening contacts and glass-break detectors go. We take pets into account when choosing detectors so that the cat does not trigger the alarm at night.
Add smoke detectors in bedrooms and hallway, leak detectors under the washing machine and in the utility room, and a siren inside or outside. You get a plan with devices and positions and an honest assessment of what makes sense for your home.
Fitting and operation
We fit Ajax devices in half a day to a day, without running cables and without dust. Then we set up the app: who may arm the system, who gets notified, what happens on alarm, which zones are active at night while you sleep. A keypad or key fob at the entrance means children, grandparents and the cleaner can arm and disarm without a phone. We test every detector together with you and explain what the messages mean until you feel confident with it.
With camera, lock and smart home
Ajax can be linked to whatever else belongs to security: cameras that send an image to your phone on alarm, a Nuki door lock that locks when you arm the system, the door intercom that shows who is ringing. If Loxone, KNX or Apple Home runs at your home, we link the system to it: when you leave, lights and music go off and the alarm arms; on alarm the lights in the house come on. We support systems in Solothurn, Bern, Biel, Olten and Aargau and help when a detector needs replacing or a new room is added.

Questions about Ajax.
Does Ajax work with pets in the house?
Yes. There are motion detectors that ignore animals up to a certain weight, and we position them so that the cat on the shelf does not trigger an alarm. We also rely on opening contacts on windows and doors, which animals cannot affect.
What happens if I am away and the alarm goes off?
You get an immediate notification on your phone, see which detector was triggered and, with connected cameras, an image. The siren sounds in the house. If you want a connection to a monitoring service, we discuss what is needed for that.
How long do the detector batteries last?
Several years, depending on the device. The app warns in good time when a detector is running low, and we replace the batteries on our next visit or send you the right ones. The hub runs on mains power and has a battery backup for outages.
