GiGi is a poodle, female, and in her own view the actual management. Officially she is our well-being manager: she makes sure everyone is doing fine – the team, clients and partners, in that order only when nobody has brought food.
She greets every visitor personally at the door, whether they want it or not. Most are more relaxed two minutes later than when they arrived; that is exactly what she is here for. Anyone who does not like dogs gets particularly close attention – those are the shoes she likes to lie on.
Inside the office she notices before anyone else who needs a break, and lies down in front of the chair until that person gets up. She reliably reminds the team that it is twelve o'clock – at about twenty to twelve. And she personally tests freshly laid floor graphics for grip by sliding across them.
GiGi works without a contract, without an e-mail address and without a guilty conscience. She is paid in treats, settled immediately. In meetings she sleeps – but in a way that everyone can see. She calls that presence culture. And when things get hectic, she is the good soul of the house.
