A custom, fold-out double-sided touch kiosk with four games we developed for the “Alles im Grünen” trade fair stand of Spitäler Schaffhausen.

For the “Alles im Grünen” trade fair appearance of Spitäler Schaffhausen we built a double-sided digital signage kiosk: two touchscreens, each driven by a high-quality Linux PC, plus the application with four games. We accompanied the project from the first idea to the finished product on the stand.

A kiosk made to measure
Shape, colours and materials are tailored to the client and the campaign: a green housing with rounded corners, side slats in real oak and a base in the green of the stand floor. Because the kiosk has two sides, it stands freely in the booth and invites people to play from both sides.

Folds open for any location
The kiosk folds open, so the two screens can stand at different angles to each other. That makes it fit any stand layout: freestanding in the middle of the booth, as a double wall kiosk against a wall or exactly in a 90 degree corner.

Two touchscreens, two Linux PCs
Behind each of the two touchscreens runs its own high-quality Linux PC. Both sides work independently, so two people can play at the same time without getting in each other’s way.

Four games we developed
We also built the application. Four games came out of it: wheel of fortune, runner, memory and quiz. In the runner you pick one of six animal characters, run through a 3D forest, switch lanes, jump and collect coins. The start screen invites you with “Spiel mit uns!” to discover what awaits you at Spitäler Schaffhausen.

From idea to trade fair stand
Concept, construction of the kiosk, hardware and programming all came from one team. We accompanied the project from the first sketch to the finished product on the stand. A big thank you to the whole team at Spitäler Schaffhausen for the collaboration.
